We carried out the survey of the rotunda, then detailed and erected the hot-rolled steel mullions to take the cladding to the perimeter which had to be within tolerances of 3 to 5 mm.
This proved challenging as the concrete was out considerably and we had to in-build a certain amount of tolerance within the design of the brackets to take the steel mullions.
Performing Arts Block, Wellington College
Being a circular structure, the detailing of the new Performing Arts Block with a clear span was a challenge as the margin for error had been reduced considerably.
All the holding down bolts were resin anchors set out and installed by Advanced Fabrications Poyle Limited. The pre-cast terrace units sat on raking steel members which had to be installed prior to the roof structure being fitted therefore we had to ensure that the columns would not move to allow the roof to fit.
